Fatma Yuceler, General Manager, Western Region USA for Turkish Airlines, was honored as the Most Compelling Woman in Travel in 2014 by Premier Traveler Magazine for her perseverance, talent and outstanding accomplishments. As an honoree, Yuceler gave a speech accepting her latest award, recognizing the magazine’s work for empowering women in the industry.
“I feel truly honored to receive this wonderful award. Travel is my passion and ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed about traveling across the globe, pushing past barriers and making a difference in people’s lives,” Yuceler stated. “This award confirms that my hard work and dedication has not been in vain.”
“Our success in the L.A. market has been a testament to our team’s hard work since our gateway launch in 2011,” said Yuceler. “As a woman and a leader, I believe success in life begins with a simple, yet powerful belief that nothing can stop you from following your dreams, and remembering that you have a voice that can make a difference.”
The event took place at the W Hotel Hollywood in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 5.
Excelling in the travel industry for more than 20 years with Turkish Airlines, Yuceler was also recently recognized as the International Trade Catalyst of the Year by Women in International Trade – Los Angeles (WIT-LA), and was an honoree for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2014 Women Making a Difference
